End of Life
We trust that Jesus tells us the truth, but death can still be hard to talk about. We’re here to help you when a loved one dies or to prepare for your own passing. Our pastors and team members can help navigate difficult conversations, provide spiritual care, and offer practical guidance.
If you’ve had a death in the family, please contact Kelli Harrison, Director of Congregational Care, to make funeral arrangements and speak with a pastor.
Grief & Loss
Grief is a common reaction to loss and is often a necessary part of healing.
Sometimes we need someone to listen without interruptions or advice. Our grief and loss ministry team is here to provide care and comfort during times of death, estrangement, retirement, anger, and abandonment.

“We want to help every person build a thoughtful, resilient faith that can stand firm, even when the storms of life shake our world.”
Bryan Dunagan – January 18, 2015
Ryan has long valued building relationships, investing in people, and walking with others through the trials of life. Ryan started in pastoral ministry, first at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City and then at Rockwall Presbyterian Church in Rockwall, Texas. During this time, Ryan realized that, for him, there are few things as rewarding as sharing life with someone and helping someone to move in a better direction. And Ryan always loved wrestling with the big and hard questions of life, which led him to earn a Doctor of Ministry while working in the church.
Ryan’s desire to work directly with people grew to the point he became licensed as a professional counselor. While he was working on his MS in counseling, Ryan worked as a chaplain at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, where he walked hundreds of children and families through difficult and life-changing diagnoses. Here, Ryan came to understand that the opportunity to walk with someone through one’s pain is a gift.
Ryan began his career in counseling working with adults and teens wrestling with anxiety, depression, and the stress of life, and went on to focus on marriage counseling and received advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy. During this journey Ryan has come to focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, addiction, existential/faith crises, premarital and marital counseling. Ryan has been married for twenty-five years and has raised three children, two biological and one adopted, who are now in their late teens and early twenties.
Life is often like a difficult puzzle. One knows one has all the pieces on the table, but it isn’t clear how they all fit together. Ryan considers it a privilege to put together the pieces with clients.
For as long as Hannah can remember, she has valued relationships as one of her top priorities. When seeking a direction for her life one thing always guided her choices, opportunities to care for people. And so, she pursued counseling out of a desire to give to others the formative relational experiences of connection rooted in compassion, presence, and honesty. Hannah received her Master’s in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, where she learned to harmonize faith and psychology. When not working, Hannah paints, spends time with her friends and family, and attends Peak Street Church.
Hannah works with individuals and couples who are wrestling with relationships, anxiety, grief, shame, and addiction. Often her clients have experienced trauma and disruptive change—whether recent or rooted in early life— that leaves them feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck.
Hannah’s practice blends psychodynamic concepts with other theories like object relations, attachment, existential, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She finds that this compassionate and integrative approach to therapy helps people build resilience, and experience deep lasting change.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you or your relationships, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to live with more peace, purpose, and self-compassion.
