War in Ukraine - Pray, Serve, Give

War in Ukraine

Published On July 1, 2022

PRAY FOR UKRAINE
Holy Spirit, we pray for the church in Ukraine, a nation in which 70% of the population call themselves Christian. Give our many brothers and sisters in that nation courage in this crisis that they proclaim the good news of your kingdom, bind the hearts of the broken, and bring comfort to all who mourn. Read more from this prayer written by Pete Greig.

GIVE
Giving money is the most effective way to provide relief to those who need it immediately. The Disaster Relief team partners with vetted organizations on the ground in Ukraine and surrounding refugee camps to make sure that your gifts are being put to good use and changing lives.

LOCAL REFUGEES
HP Pres partners with FTNRO to work with refugees to help set them up to live a successful and independent life in their new homes. A refugee is a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster. While teaching English, caring for their children, or helping them move into an apartment we are able to share the love of Christ.

You can serve as an Adult English Class Aide (9:15–11:15 am or 12:15–2:15 pm), Co-Op Classroom Aide (8:45–10 am or 12:15–2 pm), or Pre-School Aide (9:15–11:15 am or 12:15–2:15 pm).
