Session Update – Monday, October 30, 2023

Your elected Session met on the evening of Monday, October 30, 2023, for a time of prayer, grieving, and seeking God’s wisdom on the next steps for our church. As a first step to help navigate the next few months, the Session unanimously voted to empower Rev. Dr. Jay Lee, our Executive Pastor, as the Moderator of the Session and as Acting Head of Staff. We are grateful for Jay’s wisdom, guidance, and leadership in the face of the challenges of this past week.

Your Session will be in frequent communication with the congregation in the coming months as we seek God’s will for our church. In the meantime, we’d like to remind you that recommendations for new Elders and Deacons are open, and that you can submit potential future leaders of our church at hppres.org/recommend.
