Built on the strong foundation laid by those who prepared us for our first hundred years, we are now preparing for the next century by caring for the spaces that shape disciples and send them out to share Christ’s light with the world.

Dear Church Family,
This year is a remarkable milestone for Highland Park Presbyterian Church: 100 years of faithful ministry. For a century, God has used this church to make disciples of Jesus Christ here in Dallas and around the world. As we look back with gratitude for all God has done, we also look forward with hopeful expectation, and prepare for what He has in store for our future.
A little over a year ago—well before my first day with you—your Elders were asking, “What do we need to do today to prepare for what God is calling us to in the future?” They recognized the need to prepare for our second century of ministry.
Now we are launching the Renew Campaign—an intentional effort to prepare for our second century of ministry through two commitments: Renewing Our Spaces and Renewing Our Reach. To complete this ambitious work, we are praying for our congregation to help meet the project’s fundraising goal of $20 million.
Through Renew, we will undertake much-needed restoration across untouched sections of our 100-year-old campus, enhance security and cybersecurity, and improve our worship spaces—including both our primary and children’s worship environments. Renew will also strengthen our impact beyond our campus by funding future church plants, training new leaders, and supporting our mission partners. The enclosed brochure provides additional details about these projects and the vision guiding this work.
I’m excited to personally support this lay-led effort alongside our pastors and elders—and, I hope, alongside you. Would you take time to review this web page, spend time in prayer, and consider how God might be leading you to participate in Renew? When you are ready to make a pledge, you may do so here.
Thank you for your extravagant generosity and enduring love for Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
With deep gratitude,

Thomas Daniel
Senior Pastor
Renewing Our Spaces
Our campus is more than a collection of buildings—it is a sacred gathering place where faith is nurtured, relationships are created, and lives are transformed. By enriching our worship spaces, enhancing safety measures, undertaking meaningful renovations, and thoughtfully modernizing our infrastructure, we aim to renew these spaces.
Our goal is to reflect the vibrancy and warmth of our church family, ensuring that every generation can experience God’s presence and community in welcoming and spiritually enriching ways.
Investment in Renewing Our Spaces: $16m
Facility
Invest in our church facilities to repair and replace aging infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical panels, roofing, stained glass, exterior grounds, playground areas, residences, and essential equipment to support continued growth. This investment also includes a facility reserve to address ongoing and future needs.
Security
Update our security technology and install enhanced security measures—including windows, doors, glass, and bollards—to help keep the people on our campus safe.
Technology & Cyber Security
Invest in technology upgrades to be leveraged by HP Pres and our Family of Churches. Includes a third-party review of Cyber Security protocols.
A/V, Lighting, & Production
Update our production systems to help us reach more people with the message of the gospel. Includes Sanctuary lighting, projectors and streaming/recording equipment. Adds streaming capability in Wynne Chapel, Elliott Hall, and Bell Center and networking capacity to the Video Production room.
Renewing Our Reach
For a century, HP Pres has served as a missions outpost in the heart of Dallas—where disciples are molded and sent to bring the Gospel to the world.
Renew continues that legacy by investing in church plants and ministry partners that extend our reach beyond the confines of our campus.
Investment in Renewing Our Reach: $4m
Church Planting
Continue the Vision 100 initiative by planting two new churches and strengthening partnerships with strategic church-plants, expanding gospel impact in key communities.
Next-Generation Ministry Leaders
Invest in new ministry leaders over two years, equipping and developing the next generation of leadership for Highland Kids and Highland Students ministries. This initial investment will transition to the general operating budget by 2028, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Local and Global Mission Partners
To mark our Centennial Celebration, we will continue investing in our mission partners to support their growth into the future.
Thank You
Renew exists to help people of every generation find and follow Jesus. As we look toward the next century, we invite you to pray, give, and join us in laying a strong foundation for what God has in store for HP Pres.
