Nothing Never Happens

Published On June 25, 2025

Prayer is not a passive activity, or a forgotten blessing whispered before an evening meal. It is a tool given to us by the Spirit as a reminder of God’s power and presence in the world. As a tool for our faith, it can be used to repair, reinforce or renew. When we pray, nothing never happens!

During this season of transition, healing, and growth for our church, prayer has become vital to the life of our congregation. The Teach Me to Pray course saw over 200 attendees last fall, representing 19 different churches. In the spring, our weekly women’s Bible study, Anchor, participated in the Teach Me to Pray course as well. They saw over 200 participants in the course.

After completing the Teach Me to Pray course, many attendees have gone on to be appointed to one of our prayer teams and are remaining active in their prayer lives. As the prayer ministry in our church continues to grow, we invite you to spend some time in reflection and conversation with our Father in heaven.

Take a few moments to pray:

  • That people who come in contact with HP Pres would experience God’s love in new and life-changing ways.
  • That we would recognize the need for a Savior in our own lives and allow Jesus to work through us.
  • For our church as we prepare for our future senior pastor – let us remember that God is the head of the church and he never fails us.
