Maintaining a Healthy Marriage

Published On May 28, 2024

Brant and Laurel signed up for Re | Engage a few years into marriage, sharing that “our marriage wasn’t falling apart, nothing significant had happened to us, we weren’t really struggling, but just felt like we had a lack of intentionality after a couple of years. We felt like we needed a tune-up. For the same reason you go to a car mechanic for routine maintenance or at the first sign of a rattle, we decided to do Re | Engage.”

The Re | Engage experience consists of small group conversations that are guided by a facilitator couple and guest speakers that will help you learn more about yourselves as you invest in your marriage together. The course helps strengthen your bond when things are going well and is a safe place for couples to reconnect when it’s hard. Both Laurel and Brant felt it was a “great reminder of what we need to focus on, what we need to forgive and let go, and what we can do better to serve each other just as Christ served the Church.”

Marriage becomes a blessing when both people are intentional about pursuing a relationship with God and each other. In 1 John 4:19, we learn that “we love because God first loved us.” So, by learning about God’s love, we can better love one another. In Re | Engage, couples are reminded that “their strength is in the Lord and their dependence on Him plays out daily in their marriage.”

Re | Engage is a marriage enrichment program that helps you apply biblical principles and grow in your relationship with each other at any stage of life.
