The Need Speaks for Itself

Jennifer has attended HP Pres for a little over seven years with her husband and two children. Her heart for families in the foster care system connected her to our community outreach programs and led to our first ever Toy Drive with Community Partners of Dallas this past Advent season. 

As the VP of Operations at Community Partners of Dallas, Jennifer states of the Toy Drive, “Every child walks around with a wish in their heart. The children we serve at CPD may have received a gift before, but it most likely wasn’t that specific item that they were hoping for.” Because of your generosity, HP Pres filled 400 specific wishes outside of the additional toys that were donated. 

The level of specificity and care that donors take to fill each wish card shows how God’s love impacts our actions. Jennifer shares, “Because of my faith, I see God working in everything that we do. He has made it possible for us to grow and reach so many people in ways that bring the community around these kids and families.” 

Community Partners of Dallas serves around 20,000 kids a year. The Toy Drive is only a portion of the difference Community Partners is making in our city. They work year-round to provide for the immediate and urgent needs of children in the welfare system and offer support to the Child Protective Services caseworkers who help them.
