Serving at VBS Together

After teaching alongside her husband once a month in the Highland Kids ministry, Erin felt it was natural to serve in VBS as well. Over the years, she and her family grew closer to God through serving at HP Pres and wanted to give back to the community that helped them grow.

As parents, they want to model serving others the way Jesus did. Erin loves to serve alongside her own family and makes a point of “showing the children that come to VBS that they are loved by God, their Heavenly Father, but also by other adults outside of their home.”

God’s love can transform someone’s life at any age. The joy that comes from his love emanates from the children and volunteers at VBS and grows stronger each day.

This tangible representation of God’s love reminds Erin that “even as an adult I can, and at times should, come to God with childlike wonder and excitement, and I will be blessed richly in my faith walk.”
