Near to the Brokenhearted

Published On April 11, 2024

God does not promise that we will not face hard times, but he does promise that he will be with us when we do (Isaiah 43:2). Whether you are experiencing life transitions, questions about purpose, or struggles with anxiety, you can find hope and healing. HP Pres offers pastoral counseling as well as licensed professional counseling to support you as challenges arise in life.

Our mental health affects our body, mind, and spirit. When we struggle with mood, decision-making, and relationships in our lives, this invariably affects our spiritual health and ability to rest in God’s goodness and provision. Prioritizing mental health nurtures the mind, body, and soul, fortifying our connection with God and those around us.

As believers, we can practice faith in Christ while receiving the benefits that the science of psychology has to offer. The foundation of the Christian faith and counseling psychology are complementary concepts created by God to enhance one another and empower the believer. The integration of faith and focus on mental health serves to support and prioritize the wellbeing of the individual in mind, body, and spirit.

Pastoral counseling is also available to discuss and pray through the most important aspects of our lives with a trusted advisor who can help you to learn from Jesus, grow spiritually, and care for your soul. Meeting with a pastor, whether once or for a series of visits, is an opportunity to grow and heal through Biblical guidance.

You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. God reminds us in Isaiah 41:13 “I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.”
