Love Goes a Long Way

Published On July 2, 2025

When you’re young, each new experience can be a formative one. The 38 students who flew to Belize for the Students Summer Mission Trip spent a week serving the community surrounding Guinea Grass. From the moment they arrived, students experienced life through a new lens. By immersing themselves in experiences outside their own neighborhoods, the students learned how God’s love is changing lives all around the world.

In addition to teaching students that the world is bigger than their world, the mission trip to Belize was a safe place for high schoolers to explore the world and their role in it as they mature into young adults. Hosting VBS, sharing their testimonies, and learning from church leaders nurtured their outward facing mindset while helping them navigate new places in the world and their faith.

The mission trip was in partnership with Praying Pelican Missions (PPM), a missions organization that equips churches all across the globe with the resources they need to reach their own communities with God’s love. The church leaders at Rock of Ages in Guinea Grass, Belize eagerly shared their joy to serve with our students, showing them how God calls each of them in unique ways for His unique purpose.

God’s love is for everyone, no matter their age or the country where they live. As these students return, join us in praying that their experiences in Belize will have a lasting impact on their lives.
