confirmation retreat

What Is Confirmation?

One of the most meaningful milestones in your student’s journey of faith is Confirmation, a year-long community group for 7th graders. The goal of Confirmation is to give students the opportunity to confirm their faith in Jesus, walk in biblical community with other believers, and learn what it means to participate in the life of the Church.

Through Confirmation and Community Groups, your student will wrestle with the big questions of faith and explore what it means to follow Jesus as His disciple. Each week, Confirmation students will meet in Community Groups as part of Highland Students to deepen their relationships and grow in faith. Once a month, we will gather separately from the other age groups for Confirmation-specific teaching and discussion. In addition, we will come together once in the fall and again in the spring for two spiritually formative weekend retreats.

Our hope and prayer is that, through this journey, your student will grow in their ability to articulate their faith, experience what it means to be seen, known, and loved in community, and, most importantly, come to know and trust Jesus Christ as their Savior.
