Prayerfully Seeking Wisdom

Published On September 21, 2023

Every Tuesday morning, men gather to learn how to become the leaders that God has called them to be in their homes, workplaces, and communities at a Bible study called Ascent. Taylor began attending the Bible study in 2014 and is still a regular participant today. He was apprehensive to join at first because he worried that the other men would be more spiritually mature than he was, “but [he] felt the Lord calling [him] deeper, so [he] signed up anyway.” He has been grateful for that decision ever since.

Having relationships that challenge, support, and care for us is one of the most important things about being a believer. We grow so much more when we surround ourselves with people who are also looking to deepen their faith. “You will find Paul’s and Timothy’s at Ascent! It’s a blessing to be with other men who love Jesus and seek to put him first in our lives at home and work.” Men of all ages are welcome to join in fellowship and Bible study each week.

Taylor began participating in Ascent early in his marriage as he navigated being a young father balancing work, faith, and family. He was “prayerfully seeking wisdom to center [his] life in Christ. Ascent has helped provide a Godly roadmap” for him during every season of life. The Bible study has men ranging from 20s to 80s at every stage of life to help “make [you] a better husband, father, friend, and co-worker. Ascent is for ALL men who want to study God’s word and apply it practically to our lives.”
