This is recognizing what God is doing at HP Pres and saying, “I want to be a part of that, and I want to make a difference.” It is stepping out boldly and choosing to serve our church and its congregation so that people can find and follow Jesus Christ.

Elementary Ministry Opportunities

Sunday Small Group Leader

Help lead one of our 1st–4th grade small groups with the help of another adult teacher. Curriculum and all the teaching material will be provided so that you can spend more time focusing on ways to help kids know and love Jesus. Spiritual gifts: – Faith – Shepherding – Leadership Expectations: – Be friendly in your interactions with parents, children, and volunteers – Able to use the curriculum small group discussion but also be flexible to allow open discussion if other topics or questions come up – 1-2 times a month

Greeter/Check-in

Greet all families and kids with a friendly welcome during the 9:30 or 11 am worship hour. Help all new guests get their kids checked in and questions answered before walking the kids to their classes. Spiritual gifts: – Hospitality – Faith – Encouragement Expectations: – Exhibit genuine friendliness and care toward others – Greet and welcome all kids, families, and new guests who come to church – Problem solver – Most Sundays

Wednesday Nights Leader

Help with our biggest outreach program at HP Pres by joining the mid-week fun which includes leading games, activities, and small group discussions that point to God’s love for each of us. Spiritual Gifts: – Faith – Shepherding – Leadership Expectations: – Exhibit genuine friendliness and care toward children, making all kids feel seen and included. – 1-2 times a month or when available

Special Needs Buddy

Show up consistently during the 9:30 or 11 am worship hour to help our kids with special needs connect with God, engage in the service, stay safe, and feel loved. Spiritual gifts: – Mercy – Shepherding – Encouragement Expectations: – Love and care for your assigned buddy with patience and kindness – Commit to serving regularly to build a consistent relationship with your buddy – 2-3 times a month or when available

Tech Team

Execute the lights, music, and computer program during the 9:30 or 11 am worship hour so that kids can experience the highest quality of worship to connect with God and the Bible. Spiritual gifts: – Administration – Serving – Knowledge Expectations: – Comfortable with technology – Ability to troubleshoot and solve any technical issues that may occur

Worship Team

Lead kids in a worship experience that is fun and helps them connect with God and praise him during the 9:30 or 11 am worship hour. Spiritual gifts: – Exhortation – Leadership – Faith Expectations: – Ability to lead kids in age-appropriate worship and help them connect with God – Energetic with a joyful spirit – Once a month or when available
