April’s Third Thursday program features a special program led by Jessica Beasley, curator of the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Samurai Museum.
Join as as we explore the rich history of the samurai, the legendary warriors of Japan, by examining the intricate craftsmanship of their armor. Drawing on the esteemed Barbier-Mueller collection, we will delve into the art and functionality of Japanese armor. Additionally, we will look at the unique historical intersection of Christianity with the culture of the samurai.
Registration and light appetizers at 11:30 am. Cost is $10.
