Exciting Faith

Published On December 2, 2024

In one of the final lessons of his earthly ministry, Jesus broke bread, poured wine, and taught his disciples the meaning of communion. Through Come to the Table, we continue to follow his example by teaching future generations the significance of the Lord’s Supper. First grader, M.E., shares that “Come the Table was awesome!” It’s a place that kids can feel safe to ask questions and learn that faith doesn’t have to be complicated.

The wonder and curiosity kids have about being a Christian reminds us that God’s love is something to be excited about. M.E.’s mother, Emily Ruth shares, “What we love about the kids’ ministry is that they’ve learned a lot about God. It’s a place that they really enjoy bringing their friends and sharing that experience with them.” When our kids learn how God’s love changes everything, they want to share it with the people they care about.

M.E. shares that she loves coming to church to learn about God and spend time with her friends. She’s excited to be in a place that she feels safe to learn, grow, and have fun so she is “trying to convince my whole class that they should all come to church with me.”

God’s love is exciting. It doesn’t have to be complicated. And it is for everyone! Learn how the youngest generation is finding and following Jesus at hppres.org/kids.
