Confidence Through Christ
Elise was worried about making friends at her new school, but she remembered that Philippians 4:13 says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” and she felt better. Even this small act of faith put her anxieties to rest, and she walked into the new school with hope for the future. By the end of the first week, she had already made several new friends because of the confidence she found through Christ.
This Sunday was Third Grade Bible Sunday which recognizes the steps our kids make to take ownership of their faith just like sisters, Elise and Elisa have. The students have learned what it means to be a Christian and Elisa recalls that “it is important to know what the Bible says because the Bible shows God’s plan for us. It is like a blueprint for everything that God wants us to do and how to do it.” People can feel lost at any age, but the Bible gives us confidence that God has a plan for our lives. We can trust “what the Bible says because it is God’s word and God is our father in heaven” (Elise, Highland Kids Student).
No matter how old you are, you can make a difference by sharing God’s love with people around you!
