Kirkin O’ th’ Tartan

  • When January 25
  • Time 11:00 am
  • Location Sanctuary

Every year, HP Pres hosts a special Kirkin o’ th’ Tartan service, featuring bagpipes and drums. “Kirk” is the Scottish word for “church.” Tartans, with their distinctive plaid, represent specific Scottish clans, regions, or regiments. The “Kirkin’ O’ th’ Tartans” is the presentation of a Scottish family’s symbol, its tartan, at church for blessing.

Do you have Scottish heritage or like plaid and would like to process with your tartan flag behind the pipes and drums? Please meet in the Narthex of the Sanctuary at 10:45 am on Sunday, January 25.
